Korean fried chicken--hands down the best. Definitely ordering from them whenever I'm in Halifax. Taste: can't go wrong with the spicy! Original is good too. Their portions are perfect for pairs or small groups.

Pretty good rice bowls and the kimchi shrimp pancake was the bomb! They need some condiments or at least some sauce if you like heat. The dishes were not spicy at all. I like spice with this kind of food.
I would return to try more menu items like bip bap! -

I've heard a lot and decided one afternoon to finally give it a go. It was a rainy, windy afternoon so went with skip the dishes delivery. Order and delivery time was fairly short and prompt.
Ordered their half original crispy chicken and bi bim bap. The crispy is very crispy but the chicken itself has little to no flavour. It would do well with more seasoning on the coating and maybe brining the chicken first. My partner who is a fried chicken fiend actually left two pieces and that never happens.
Good bi bim bap for the price and product.
Would try the sweet and spicy chicken another time. -

I used to frequent Backoos when they had a location on the Bedford Highway. The bibimbap was a favourite, and their chicken was delicious, nice and juicy and you got a sizable amount. Gotta say I'm very disappointed in this round. We got a whole chicken, half crispy half soy garlic. The pieces were all so tiny I think there might have been enough meat to call it one medium sized breast. The meat was also stringy and chewy and dry. Super disappointing, especially considering the price. The bibimbap wasn't as good as it used to be either. Basically rice smothered in an unreasonable amount of sauce and not much substance other than raw onions. The best part of the meal was the soy garlic sauce - it at least had good flavour. I hope that my experience was a one off, and other customers get more typical cuts for a "whole chicken" meal.

Got a selection of the vegetarian options yesterday. Found a Q-TIP buried inside the tofu salad the next day when I was eating the leftovers I had mixed into the tofu salad container. DISGUSTING.
The potato puffs are literally just maccains tater tots. The tofu salad is watery and the vegetables are just some grated carrot and a tiny bit of wilted spinach. The dumplings are small and dry and hard and with no sauce, difficult to eat. The bi bim bap was the worst version I've ever had. Everything was underwhelming, and didn't seem very Korean, more like a watered down boring gross version.
